"Ruach" is the Hebrew word for spirit, and it is exactly that quality which the songs of the Ruach series possess. Ruach 5775 is the eighth edition in the amazing series of recordings that brings to life the spirit, energy, and vibrancy of the Judaism that lives and breathes in the camps, youth groups, and synagogues of the Union for Reform Judaism. Well-known and beloved artists are joined by new emerging voices to bring you the best new Jewish rock music on the scene, including cuts from Noah Aronson, Marsha Attie, Stacy Beyer, Neshama Carlebach & Josh Nelson, Michelle Citrin, Alan Goodis, Noam Katz, Saul Kaye, Ross M. Levy, Sheldon Low, David Moss, Dan Nichols & Eighteen, Mikey Pauker, Jay Rapoport, Chana Rothman, Toby Singer, Craig Taubman, and Celia Tedde (winner of the 2013 NFTY Song Competition).

Ruach 5775 is a joint production of Transcontinental Music Publications/URJ Books & Music and the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY). The collection is being released in conjunction with NFTY's 75th Anniversary celebration taking place in 2014/2015. In honor of this momentous occasion, Ruach 5775 features a very special new recording of the classic Kol B'seder song, "Shalom Rav." Originally written in 1973 by Jeff Klepper and Dan Freelander, "Shalom Rav" has stood the test of time and remains a beloved favorite, sung in synagogues, camps, and youth groups around the world. This all-new recording features vocals contributed by dozens of your favorite Jewish recording artists, including many who appeared on the original Songs NFTY Sings albums released between 1972 and 1989. The song is a moving tribute to the transformative power that music and NFTY together have had over 75 years.

The Ruach 5775 Songbook comes shrinkwrapped with a download card included, redeemable at for the full album at no additional cost.

The audio component is currently available as a full album digital download from CD Baby .
