This classic psalm text is incredibly versatile in terms of its uses. One tends to find it associated with memorial concerts or funerals, but some traditional congregations include Psalm 23 in the liturgy of their Shabbat evening service. It contains images of both death and comfort, and so it is well suited to any sort of memorial context.
